Suboxone a few words

Be cautious with getting on suboxone (buprenorphine), its a very strong medication. Stays in your body about 35 hours and much much harder to get off of than any narcotic that you can think of. Unless you plan on being on it for a very long time, I wouldnt even consider it. Also, insurance usually does not pay for buprenorphine, and its very costly, about $15.00 per tablet. So alot to consider. Just my thoughts.

I believe  hydrocodone is a whole lot worse than buprenorphine to get off of. IMO.

suboxone. A couple of words, Impacted Colon. Just stick too hydrocodone or hop up too oxycontin. Oxycodone w/d isnt that bad, it fucks you up for a couple of days then its pretty much over. buprenorphine lingers and lingers. It's a fuckin headache.

I agree partially. . just checking if there any people who have taken the pure Bupe (Temgesic? Subutex?) recommend it over Hydrocodone for pain relief? Say if somebody was taking 4 or 5 HP's a day, what would equiv. dose of Bupe be? And W/D's, standard type? Runs? Runny Nose? A couple days of cramping? Oh, and length of time it lasts, and WHAT does it feel like? Just flat pain free? Some low grade buzz? I definitely do not want to be all-fuckd-up... And folks say "harder to get off of". Like smoking cigarettes? Nothing terrible, just a general desire to have one? Or like sweating bullets, running around the block half naked in the middle of the winter, bouncing off walls,  etc......

I received Bupe from eastcoastexpress.shop last week. there were only a handful of doctors who would prescribe it so I had to research and then found a pharmacy (eastcoastexpress) that had it. I got around 40 pills, worked ok. What is the difference between Bupe and Sub? It seems like nowadays people get on Sub and it's a very long taper. Is that the difference? What would be the benefits of a being on Sub for extended periods? Sorry I have always wondered about this.

Bupe can only be prescribed by a dr. with the bupe "certificate" - meaning they took a class to become bupe certified. My dr just happened to be a shrink and allowed to scribe bupe. Fortunately, my health insurance covered the monthly meds and it was a Measley $30 month copay. But it has not covered dr visits since he was out of network.. There are docs who will work with insurance. I recommend it to end expensive and ongoing opiate use. Addition: The purpose of bupe is to get you to a good place so you can work on "issues" and discontinue opioid that may have been interfering with your daily life. It's not something meant to go back and forth with other opiates. Plus, you first tab of bupe - you must be in mild to moderate opiate withdrawal for it to be effective and make you feel better, not worse. Bupe satisfies the opiate receptors without euphoria.
